Freeme was closed down some time ago. Your donations now go towards some expensive 4x4 and other luxury expenses

FreeMe was closed down, please do not entertain this fraudulent activity, it is not licensed due to poor management that took over. It is not in the process of finding new premises and having a NPO certificate means nothing to say it is open. You need to be registered as a wildlife care facility which this institution no longer is. Please this may cost you money that will not be spent on animals but personal gain.

This was once an incredible wildlife rehab centre before it was captured by a despicable person who still receives donations for an organisation that does not exist. The new functioning organisation is Friends of Free Wildlife; DO NOT DONATE TO THIS PERSON. The centre is not functional at all anymore! The assets have been captured.

FreeMe closed down. All wildlife can be taken to Friends of Free Wildlife in Kyalami. Current owners don't care if you waste your petrol driving to an empty location.

I can't give less than one to review. Used to be world class and then the new board who due to a change in the constitution of the charity took membership away from volunteers and then sacked them. It cannot accept any animals or birds at the moment due to prohibition from the SPCA and G DARD. This however does not stop the board occupying the premises and fundraising on the reputation of the organization pre November 2015.

We called Free Me from the middle of nowhere in the Free State early on New Year's Day with a crisis - a maanhaarjakkals aka aardwolf was caught by the neck in a snare and we needed advice on how to release it. To my relief the Free Me office was open! And I was quickly put through to Michelle who gave us superb advice. We headed back to the mountain behind our town, calm and confident. Luckily everything worked well and within a few minutes the animal - unhurt and unhindered by the wire - was able to run away. We have no vet in this area and no-one else we could ask for help. Thanks, Free Me. You have made this animal's year - - - and ours.
