We fell in love with this place from the first time we went. We fell so hard that we got married at Grootfontein.. Yes, that's right, their very first wedding and I wouldn't change it for anything. Kerry was absolutely amazing dealing with all the wedding arrangements and turning this off the grid gem into the most beautiful, breathtaking and spectacular wedding ever. Thank you to the Grootfontein team for creating memories with us and our friends and families that will stay with us forever.

Lovely campsite with spectacular views! There are ample shade, nice big braai areas and there will soon be a cosy little sitting pool that's right on the edge of the koppie. Definitely worth a visit!

We stayed here for a couple of days in the Aloha lodge. The kids called it the house without walls. You can fall asleep and wake up with a spectacular view on the surrounding nature. The lodge is well equipped with a fridge a gas stove and of course a nice brai place. Some small solar powered lights are also available. The highlight is of course the bush where you can spot lots of animals in the (very) early morning hours and just before sunset. We came close to a herd of giraffes within meters distance. Thanks to the whole staff for this experience!
