Really great venue. The bathrooms are ok but the doors and could be replaced. Fishing is ok but you need to cast far 200 plus to get big carp. Price is decent but they could do with a half day price

The cruise: the views were great. Harties is a great place. The boat: Harties Boat company could do better: the upper deck was reserved for a birthday. We had to be squashed downstairs. no proper chairs and tables to relax with family. Only bar chairs along the edge of the boat. Then they say smoking area is at front of the boat. Which was hardly 2 meters away from where we sat. But there were people with infants at that edge of the boat. I mean why do they allow people to smoke inside the cabin? the smoking area is not isolated from the main cabin. that is not considerate and acceptable.... Then I noticed the only smokers are the cabin crew themselves. I thought it was disgusting. I mean even from a fire safety point of view. ...smoking on-board SHOULD NOT be allowed. Not long ago people died due to fire inside a certain boat in Harties waters. The Cabin Crew: The crew is friendly and that...but they could look better. They really looked like they just woke up to come to work without touching any water. Their uniforms were not neat..only the captain's white uniforms looked clean..I mean those people served us refreshments....and Covid-19 is still here....hygiene is critical...... Terrible experience for me and family.

Water Hyacinthus is still a problem depending on the wind. Fishing is good and a concerned effort is made to clear the watery pests, but its a big issue in the area. The ablutions have been vandilised and you can see that effort is made to fix it, however that is a terrible thing to try and control. Overall a good place, you do need a bait boat to get your bait a little deeper. The boats can spoil it a bit in summer, but a place worth visiting for a day out
