It is small but has an impressive art. You are allowed to take pictures inside so dont shy away. It is also has an extremely cheap entrance fee. Definitively a must see!
A wonderful tribute to the great Rupert family - in this case Hester Rupert. Hubert Rupert was to carry on the interest in art together with other members of the family. View paintings by some of South Africa's most famous artists. Mellow surroundings and beautiful works of art. An art lovers dream visit.
The wide variety of different types of of pictures and sculptures shows the depth of the South African artists. The museum is tranquil and allows one to concentrate on the arts. It is a pity that the Town Council does not repair the leaking air-conditioning unit. It is spilling water onto the floor, damaging it. There is not even a bucket available to catch the water. The lady maning the museum said that she had requested the work be done over two years ago. What a shame. The Council should be grateful to the Rupert's for the Museum.
Interesting stop in Graff Reniet Variety of art on display A good way to stretch your legs and engage in some fine art Air conditioning needs attending before the paintings are damaged which will be a tragedy
Well worth a visit.
Wow is good one
This museum is back home, Graaff-Reinet, where I grew up. It has a lot of art and fossil collection.
