Today we intentionally ventured into the Hillcrest neck of the woods. Our trip was for a birthday gathering but we stopped over at this delightful, creative, little coffee shop suggested by my daughter. It was worth trying out!! Oh my gosh! we were absolutely thrilled to be transported back to our parents and grandparents simpler times. This cute, little spot is so warm, inviting and such a treat to enjoy with all its quirky, vintage furniture, art pieces and unusual decor. The owners, Liam and Sam, are friendly, passionate, young creatives whom we had a lengthy afternoon chat with- As we chatted with them we could tell that they are so proud of their quaint business. They have so much going on at this place... Art exhibitions, music gigs and a whole host of new ideas for the future. This place is so different from your regular, commercial cafes. As hubby said: "it's a home away from home." It was an extremely hot day in KZN, so something chilled and iced was definitely on the cards. Our barista, Brilliant, was just the best! He happily made hubby an iced coffee and I had an almond milk, iced chocolate drink ... Let's just say, that went down well. Their menu is simple and affordable. So! If you wanna try something different, this is definitely the one!
