Ok. We've had enough of this place now. A year ago we started buying fish and chips there every Friday evening. The fish was well portioned, chips nicely cooked and yummy onion ring and lemon. The food has just gone down and down and down since then. The fish, even though a reasonable size, had been wrapped in a new paper wrapping which had made the batter soggy and stick to the paper. Chip portions are smaller and half my portion was burnt (like they had recooked already cooked chips), the other half underdone. No more onion rings, no more lemon. Howick seems to be buying its fish and chips from the local Spar now where it's half the price and double the quality. You try and support local busines but if they lose interest in you as a customer, you just don't go back. Sorry.
