Advancements in international trading systems have also enabled iLanga Diamonds to access large stocks of high quality diamonds, from around the world. The magic of gemstones has always throbbed through the veins of the mother and son team of Debbie Blackburn and Clayton Delville Hood. For many years Debbie was a director of one of Africa’s largest emerald and coloured gemstone mining, cutting and selling organisations. She passed her love of gemstones onto her son Clayton who is a respected gemologist with an impressive coloured gemstone and jewellery business. Collectively, they have experience in buying and cutting rough gemstones, selling loose gemstones and diamonds as well as designing and manufacturing of fine diamond and coloured gemstone jewellery. ​
