I booked an appointment for a normal, scheduled service. NOTHING WRONG with my XF other than the service due and the eco stop/start that sometimes fails. On arrival, I had to sign an agreement for them to phone me with a quote for the intended work and if I decline the quote, I had to pay a R2000 penalty fee. I also got a call to tell me that the eco function does not work, as my car does not have the option fitted! How can it then work at times?? The cost of the service was R12 025.09, which I paid. I got a second quote by email for a further R52 877.68. This was for among other things, replacement of stuff that might go wrong in the future. Absolutely ridiculous!
