The Africa Media Exchange is the first carrier neutral media exchange in Africa, and provides centralised management of the entire media content workflow. Media content can be transmitted to multiple broadcasters, either over public or private networks. It can be transmitted and shared by multiple CDNs or broadcasters, or stored in multiple formats on media asset management systems. The exchange allows content to then be distributed over high speed copper, fibre or wireless networks (via IPTV and OTT platforms) to varying devices. Housed in the secure Teraco data centre facility in Isando, South Africa, the Africa Media Exchange is ideally located to allow for ease of interconnection, and carrier neutrality.
