Dr Eppel does not scribble down a list of medication on a script just to get you in and out as fast as possible. He gives you a full understanding of what your situation is and why he is prescribing the medication. He's passionate about what he does and he is one of, if not the best!

Dr Stephen Eppel was my psychiatrist about 5 years ago. He was referred to me. He is a very rushed doctor, I can understand why now, after reading his debacle with Discovery Medical Aid. Anyway, in a nutshell I would like to share how HE COST ME MY CAREER. I secured a position with a blue chip finance house, i declared that I was bipolar, for 20 years. I told my future employer that I am fully functional. I have a few dips but thats normal and it is well managed. The company requested a report on the status of my disease as well as my functionally. He wrote back stating that I am totally irressponsible and incapable (false allegation). He went on to share patient/ doctor confidentially which goes against the moral & ethical behaviour of a Psychiatrist. I lost that opportunity because according to Eppel, I am not responsible & lack the ethics of the job. You may wondering I am only writing now? I am still unemployed and cant find anything decent. I now think more and more of Eppel and caused my career suicide. I woild have been successful in my career by now. #disgusted#unprofessional#immoral# unethical... #noremorse to do that to his own patuent

The side-effect of Lamectin in me was a severe rash (after I had been taking the meds for around 18 months) What impressed me at the time he never insisted I take another medication as other psychiatrists have done!
