So beautiful and well maintained. So busy on weekends! Lovely space for kids and adults to walk, ride bikes, play, and take in some nature. I do wish they switched all the garden water features on instead of leaving them empty and unused. Lovely place overall! Kids play ground jungle gym needs some maintenance.

Great place to take the family. Relaxing. Good to be in such surroundings. Decent crowd. Even the dogs behave.

Excellent picnic spot. Safe and shaded spots. Their rules are what makes me visit here time after time. Really appreciate it. Went close to winter so missed the flowers in full bloom.

Going for a walk in the botanical gardens is a regular weekend occurrence for us. There are beautiful walking paths and wide open spaces. We love the rose gardens and watching the birds (and dogs chasing the birds) at the water front areas. While not quite as beautiful as the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens, the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens are much closer and easier to access if you want to go for a short walk. There is safe parking at both entrances. This has been an easy place to social distance as there is a lot of open space to choose from.

Beautiful gardens, neat and clean. What was good was seeing security with dogs patrolling the vast grounds. Unfortunately the ponds at the rose garden was drained and only a few rose bushes were in bloom but nevertheless, it was beautiful. A definite must for the family picnic or a romantic stroll.

It's very beautiful and with lovely landscaping. Had a lot of fun in this place. I heard there are 5 entrances to the park, be sure to ask and be specific to which area of the park you're going to, because there's also a dog walking area specifically for unleashed dogs. Then there's a wedding and picnic and all other activities area. It's very open so there's no way one wasn't able to social distance. There is no braai area but your more than welcome to bring food and that picnic basket.
