Kaylee’s is located in a great spot inside the Comic Book Warehouse. It makes for a fun day of browsing and lunching. The new market selling a bunch of imported and local goodies is also a nice touch. We opted for a Peanut Butter and Jam smoothie and a butterscotch milkshake to start, and both were divine. For mains my boyfriend got the trio of sliders, and they were really tasty. I enjoyed the faux rib one especially. I ordered the breakfast burrito and was somewhat disappointed. The whole thing lacked flavour (and if you’re making tofu, you need to add extra flavour), and I wasn’t a fan of the soy mince (at least I think that’s what it was). I ended up struggling to finish and filling myself up on my boyfriend’s chips (which were so damn good). So overall I did enjoy the outing but next time I would definitely try a different meal.

Great vegan food and friendly service but a little bit on the pricey side. The decor is a retro‐chic restaurant within the absolutely awesome, comic-geek fantasy come alive, Comic Warehouse. Across the floor a little way is a 1950's American style diner. Not to mention the unique collection of classic cars.
The number one vegan joint in all of Joburg if not all of South Africa! It's the only place that tastes amazing in my mind. I did a review on vegan places in JHB and honestly had a hard time stomaching anything from the other places! What a relief at the end of my list was this amazing restaurant! I go straight for the "bacon cheese burger" and it doesn't disappoint take it from someone who lives on and loves meat this is as close as you'll ever get without it actually being bacon, cheese and beef! And that's before you take in the surroundings which are jaw dropping! Will be back plenty!
If I could give them 6 stars, I would! Being gluten and dairy intolerant, I'm always worried about going out to eat. I was catered to so wonderfully and made to feel completely comfortable. My food was made gluten free, at my request and there wasn't any fuss! The portions are worth the price, the ambience is lovely and the service is impeccable. Love the supermarket too! Great options available for people with allergies/intolerances. We will be back soon!
Fantastic! Vegan has never tasted this good. The food, the service and the setting is perfection. I will be a regular for sure.

Great staff, fast and friendly service. Food was good too but I have tasted better. I guess the rest of the place is what most people go here for... The comic figures are so realistic. Loved the experience!
Absolutely awesome experience!! Loved the setup which is reminiscent of an American diner, the service was fantastic and the food was on a another level! The market is great and stocks everything I generally look for plus a few new products that I am super excited to try. We had the Mediterranean bowl, breakfast burrito and the cauliflower nuggets. Everything was super tasty and let's not forget the yummy Oreo milkshake and the chocolate brownie with the unbelievably creamy Mylk strawberry ice cream! If you haven't been you have not truly lived! I am going back next week!
