Really love the beer and atmosphere at the Mad Giant! Very open floorplan and high ceilings inside with a beer garden outside. Grab a drink and then go see the nearby local artwork!

Classy, brewery tanks 100% clean, food available too. Chef couldnt explain what a sauce was made off though. .that was an odd one

We went there to drink craft beer and we loved it. My next birthday is going to be there!! The food is interesting and very delicious!! I wanted to try the steam buns but they wete sold out. Next time I go I will definitely get some.

Located in the heart of Johannesburg this brewery is a fresh and exciting addition to the area. The decor has a very creative "industrial" feel to it, and you have full view of the brewing equipment. The tasting area also shares it's space with the Urbanology restaurant which has awesome food, but which I have reviewed separately. At the time we visited you could taste all of their beers which include a Lager, Pilsner, Weiss, APA (American Pale Ale), IPA (India Pale Ale), Amber Ale and Porter. All of their beers are very tasty, with the highlight being the Killer Hop (APA) and the True Grit (Amber Ale). Our waiter was also super friendly and welcoming which just added to the experience. I would recommend that when you go (which you should definitely do!) that you make use of Uber (or a similar service) - it's not in the best area, but they drop you off right in front of the brewery so you do not need to stress about parking.

I have so much mix emotions about this place. The spot is really great the vibe is so urban and pop and I love that. Its great for a group and family. The food was not so great for me and I repeat for me. The way the food was prepared really didn't taste great for my tastebuds I actually didnt like the flavors. The service was good.
