Nehemiah Village of Love –is a community based organization, it is program based, it drives its programs through volunteerism. We are based in Gauteng , Johannesburg. We focus on three areas >> Home based care >> Vulnerable children >> Disability Persons These programs are called’Iqal’ekhaya’ which is derived from an old Idiom that says ‘charity begins at home’, Iqal’ekhaya simple means ‘begin at home’. We are privileged to be working with households in their intimate spaces called home. Home based care Program – Focuses on elderly person who are frail and unable to assist themselves, we clean their spaces, cook for them, and assist in the administering of the medication (that including fetching their medications for Primary health care centers)we focus on the Hygiene, nutrition, and spiritual support Vulnerable Children Program- Focuses on child headed families, we offer our support in terms of supplementing their monthly grants by providing extra nutritional food parcel, toiletries, school based needs and spiritual support. Disability Persons Programs- We support those who mind them by providing any kind of support they need, normally it is transportation, source wheel chairs, special school needs, and other needs as it arises. Donations to these programs will be highly appreciated- to ‘Caregivers who truly care’
