Massive collection of dvds, whether you are looking for a favourite classic, Nordic Noir, British TV series of any kind, specialist movies or doccies or the latest releases, The Majestic has it all! Hennie, the owner/manager is extremely knowledgeable and engaging, and can ramble off dozens of rental recommendations based on your favourite genre. Highly recommended!

I just adore getting old movies and series from Hennie's Majestic DVD store. It's the only one of its kind in Joburg and for the old movies you can keep them for a period of time - which is great if you don't live nearby. You can binge watch on Woody Allen's, Meryl Streep's, Westerns, war movies, documentaries of all kinds, gay and lesbian films, detective series, children's movies and many many more. They also have current movies but those you have to return the next day just like a normal dvd store and we know those are almost nonexistent now!! Browsing on Hennie's shelves is the best fun - especially on a rainy day!!
