I brought my VW Polo to these guys since the rear wheels were making some howling noise. There was also a tapping noise coming from the front wheels on bumpy roads. I told them to do the diagnosis. The mistake I made was to hint that I suspect the wheel bearings with regards to rear wheels. First of all they didn't offer to drive the car to hear what sort of noise am I hearing. Later on I got a call from the lady and she confirmed that my wheel bearing were the problem. I then authorized the repairs which came to R3, 800. I then collected the car. I noticed that the 'manager' was reluctant to test drive it with me. He demanded that I make a payment first before the test drive. That raised an alarm. I paid and after that we went for a test drive. To my shock, the noise from the back wheels was still there. I told him that I can still hear it, which means it's a misdiagnosis. He gave me some crazy explanation. Went back to the workshop and he did some manual test on the rear wheels. He concluded that the tires are not evenly aligned and that might be the problem. I then asked if he is certain. He said the only thing that can confirm that is if the wheels are swapped back to front vice-versa. I instructed him to swap the wheels. They did the swap and the noise was transferred from back to front.. meaning the problem was with the tires after all. So I paid R3800 for replacing rear wheel bearings which were perfectly fine. I am a peaceful person, I didn't want to start a fight that I cannot win. It always happens with the guys who don't know their work, you pay for all the guessing. So I swallowed the rip off. My recommendation: only take the car to these guys when you know what is the problem. Absolutely useless with diagnosis.

Assessment was not done right, was quoted R 42 000 for a steering rack that was not even broken. Took my car else were only to find the actual problem is Mega tronics. Disappointing service
