I'm comparing it to a state hospital in Cape Town. Kimberley is dirty in all ways of thinking. The staff think they own the hospital. Majority of them are unfriendly and only interested in talking to each other. There is very little respect for visitors and patients. I have witnessed the food. No wonder there are no smiles on the patients. I can only recommend that they look at getting rid of the dead wood e. g. staff, cleaning, nursing staff and security. The security are one of the biggest negatives. Totally unfriendly, unprofessional and no respect for visitors whose loved ones are sick and haved passed away. This Kimberley hospital is in a very bad condition and changing the name did not address any of the above. It is a shame that this once was one of the best hospitals in South Africa but now it must rate as one of the worst.
