It's like an enchanted garden. People are caring and happy. Love the flea market and their prices are so reasonable.

I used to work at SPCA, Kloof quite some years ago at one of their stalls every week. I got my dad involved there too. I hear it has changed a lot since, as I worked there many years ago. Unfortunately a couple of things happened that put me off and I vowed never to go back again, not as a fund raiser and I haven't. The first thing to happen was a religious thing, maybe not important to many but it angered me but since it happened on my first day I kept quiet. The stall I worked in was trinkets and other stuff and someone had donated a statue of Buddha. The lady in charge promptly threw it in the bin....she was Christian. SPCA is NOT a religious concern and ALL religious types visit looking for a bargain! Please note that I too am a Christian. The second incident REALLY annoyed me as I had donated a sleeper couch in pretty good condition. They could easily have got R350 for it which was not to be sneezed at. A few of us SPCA ladies were having a chat one day when one whom I did not know happened to mention a blue sleeper couch which had been sold to a permanent member of staff for R50! I was just disgusted and disappointed and I told them there and then that I would never again donate ANYTHING. And I haven't. But we did get 2 kitties from them a few months after the last 2 of our precious 8 died. These 2 are probably the last kitties we'll get as we're no longer young...in fact I am sure they'll outlive us. Worries me.
The tea garden is just to nice to sit down and have a cuppa tea or coffee and if you have a hole to fill the food is also great. The thrift shops have so much to offer. Supporting a great cause.
Everyone at Kloof spca are so amazing, thank you to everyone there for taking such good care of my Kitty babies. Each and every one of you are such remarkable wonderful people. The work the Kloof SPCA does goes unnoticed. Thank you so much. We really appreciate it all.

Thoroughly enjoy thrifting through the many different stalls they have to offer. Their little tea garden with snacks is really adorable and quaint too. I have and always will support Kloof SPCA, their attitude and love is surreal.
I visited the Market at Kloof and Highway S.P.C.A. on Friday 22 Jan. Wow, what a lovely setting, tea garden and with LOADS of goodies to browse through. A fabulous cause and I will definitely be back again and again. I walked away with almost new items at giveaway prices.
Today was a very sad and emotional day, and I thank you for helping us in such a calm and professional manor. For making this terribly sad day just a little bit easier. I am sorry for the life of me I can't remember the name of the lady who helped us at the clinic, but thank you again. Your honorable way of handling things were really super. It was hard enough saying goodbye to our 2 fur babies, so thank you for making it just a little easier.
