Nestled in the cradle of mankind means that hosting or attending a function here will inevitably involve an extended drive. Whilst this drive is scenic, it can be uncomfortable for female guests wearing fancy attire or guests with children. The venue had multiple venues, the one we visited had parking quite far from the hall itself. The path was relatively tranquil, but oh so sore in heels with inclines and drops. The hall itself with a thatched inner top may not be for all in terms of decor for brides. Draping costs will have to be considered. Word is the owners didn't make the experience very easy in terms of catering and design to get work done. There are opportunities for beautiful photos but the walk may require flat shoes and a tolerance for bugs. This venue is a matter of taste. The outdoor grass area was slightly unkept and most guests could not enjoy the walk beyond the terrace as it was at an incline and the step or board to get down didn't seem safe or steady enough. Considering everything said it may still be the venue for you. Go have a look.

Stunning! Breathtaking gardens and well kept facilities for a function or event. The restaurant is top quality and I highly recommend stopping over if you are in or around the cradle. Only downside would be the accommodation, the rooms need better maintenance and an upgrade. Otherwise it was such a pleasant experience.

The restaurant is quite nice, with a view over a divine kiddies play area. Be prepared to wait for your food, but it's worth the wait.

Had a quick visit here for waffles and milkshakes. Loved, loved loved the Belgian waffles. They were soft, scrumptious and definitely delicious. Coffee milkshakes and cappuccinos were also good. Service was speedy. Waiter was friendly. Great ambience
