Decided to visit Ladysmith as we love historical places. Never again. Could not get close to the town hall / museum as there were big crowds of people (perhaps grants were being paid today?)....but no social distancing, very few masks being worn and no parking at all.

Inquire about the Siege Museum, which was closed at the time. Experienced 2 very rude unparticipating ladies at reception.

The Siege museum was excellent if you are a war/history fan. Just be careful outside. Locals warned is about lots of pick pocketing.
