Delicious food; served in bowls and on platters for the table, and exceptionally nice pink sparkling wine from the Abingdon Estate. All served on the terrace, all'aperto. Throw in some good company and you have the makings of an exceedingly pleasant afternoon.

What a fantastic find. Hearty food with an emphasis on sharing, wine is impressive. Was refreshing to have the entire family present to discuss their baby, passion is evident. Will definitely be back.

Attended the one day wine course. This was very well presented by the knowledgeable and enthusiastic family owners in a pleasant venue. Informative tour of the vineyard and fantastic lunch in the garden. Highly recommended.

The most fantastic treasure in the Midlands...

Pleasantly surprised that we have working vineyards and wineries in the KZN Midlands that produce top quality wines. Beautiful setting, quaint restaurant / tasting room. Staff are friendly. Service is good but could be better. We came in for a wine tasting whilst "meandeing" through the Midlands and they were happy to accommodate us. Personal service at the wine tasting was lacking - I guess they were busy but I expected a bit of an intro to the wine estate and their wines. I got my wines intermittently - but no explanation. Left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth because I expected a tasting experience as one is normally accustomed to at a wine farms who want to showcase and sell you their wines. The cheese platter was great, only 3 platter types are available and we were told that we had to book the other menu items in advance. Did look good but as indicated, I was not given a chance to order or taste them- I look forward to that in due course. I give them 3 stars for the lack of personal attention and this alone. I nevertheless will go back because it's a beautiful place with lovely wines and a lovely setting and hopefully they are able to redeem themselves wrt their service upon my return.

Such a quaint little spot.. Great wine, beautiful views of the vineyard, and just a wonderfully run family business. Would love to go back...
