House of Interiors Louis Trichardt charged me R591.00 to deliver two single recliners and one double recliner over a distance of less than 30 kilometers from them. When I visited the store I asked the sales person twice what the delivery costs would be but could not get a definite answer - Yeah, my mistake. Be very sure to get the delivery amount that will be charged before you make the purchase. I was told by an employee when I queried the outrages amount for delivery that their standard rate is R6.50 / km, the rest is for labor. This may very well be their standard way of doing business but make sure to avoid a nasty surprise. If I had known what the delivery charge would be before hand I may very have gone to another Furniture shop close by I've done business with them before and was pleased with the transaction - did my own transport then. After about a day the delivery charge did drop to R500.00 - awesome.
