Macassar Pottery is a truly inspiring space filled with creative energy. Visiting is NB not only for visitors from other countries but also for locals. If your spirits are needing lifting then this is the perfect place to get your hands in some clay, try out some painting or play some drums!

Macassar Pottery is a ceramic design and manufacturing facility in Macassar township, Cape Town. What a hope filled place. I love what they are doing facilitating dignity both with their staff and in the community. They are a social enteprise practicing reconciliation and restitution creating pathways where community members can be upskilled, employed and incubated. Their work within the community creates the ecosystems where visible geographic change takes place around them. The township clay experience is well worth the money. It is a learning and inspiring experience while at the same time being fun for the whole family. My recommendation is go to their website and sign up for a tour!

Awesome....John Ross was an amazing guide that gave us an incredible history lesson and insight into Macassar. The pottery and music to follow was also an amazing way to connect in an authentic way.

From the moment you step into this place you feel welcomed wholeheartedly. My class from the United States had the opportunity to play their beautiful drums and sing together and it was an incredibly touching experience. Thank you Macassar Pottery for the joy you brought us
