Had a broken mandible about 3 years ago, traumatic incident from the result of a fall. I was advised to do a wiring for 6 weeks, so being in pain you end up trusting this person and made a poor assumption that all would be good. Now am struggling with issues related to this poor advice and am trying to get it resolved. I have an asymmetrical jaw, bite is really bad, painful at times, feels tight, I did mention this and was advised to see a dentist which I did and all they did was grind my teeth. I feel he is not skilled enough to have managed my issue appropriately with all due consideration. I remember being told that I must take pain killers whenever it hurts, really poor service all round. I should have been properly advised of what life would be like with that decision, I would have gladly left and found someone else capable to resolve my issue correctly.

Was refereed to him by an amazing ENT but was so disappointing at how he handled my condition, no empathy and so disengaged. Called on Thursday to request a script to date my issue has not been attended to. So much disrespect for a patient who's dealing with a serious condition.

I had problems with my wisdom tooth. Went to see 2 different dentists and they were too scared to work on it. Googled for a Maxillofacial Surgeon and Dr Bobat was the only one willing to slot me in at short notice. I went in and had a pleasant experience with him. Went in for consultation and he managed to remove my tooth effortlessly. I still can’t believe it. I took me through the process to put me at ease. Thank you Doc for helping me out and making me so comfortable. I would certainly recommend you.

Paid a lot of money to get a old photostat that says i must put a warm towl on my jaw. He forgot who I was, only started analysing my results once I was in the room and in the end couldn't perform the cleaning operation of the jaw. Don't recommend going if you have TMJ.

Dr Suliman (Randburg Medicross) is my regular dentist and recommended I see Dr Bobat when I had a wisdom tooth growing oddly and impacting on my lower jaw. I thought we would first consult and come back for a second session to operate, but Dr Bobat said lets go right ahead with the procedure since I had the time booked - sidenote, thank you Dr for squeezing me at the last minute. Usually afraid of such, I proceeded with confidence as Dr Bobat kindly explained every step of the procedure and assured me throughout even when I was experiencing pressure from the tooth against the nerve. I have just come back from the procedure and must say he is excellent and very kind in his manner!!!
