This is probably my favourite place to hang out and be creative. I feel like part of the family and would give 10 out of 5! Michelle can cook up a storm and Dave will definitely entertain you for no extra cost! Also speak to them about woodwork as Dave can make some amazing furniture or restore old pieces! Go pop in to see them! Well worth it!

Exellent knowlege and advice from Michelle. With the cost of electricity still very affordable to have your goods baked in their kiln.

Michele has excellent prices and is a wonderful lady. She is extremely helpful and got back to me quickly when I needed some assistance with buying clay. You should definitely stop by if you're keen on arts and crafts.

I am an architectural student and am in constant need of raw clay to create models with, Michele is always extremely helpful and full of insight. Great variety and always a joy to chat to. Thanks

Quite annoyed at how I got fleeced. Seems a different price for a foreigner than for a local. I arranged by email to bring my niece and nephew and was quoted R120 each depending on what we make. We arrived, made some bowls from a mold and opted for a better clay at an extra R10 each. The first stage is simply putting some clay into a mold, smoothing it then that’s it, Michelle would fire it. That was about R450. We would have to return once it’s been fired so that we could paint it. We duly returned, painted the bowls and then Michelle dipped them into a glaze to go back into the oven. This time it was now R550. Okay... seemed odd to pay again but didn’t think too much of it, I just wanted the kids to be happy. But it started bugging me and I discussed it with my family. They arranged to call the studio pretending to enquire about a session. Guess what, it’s 120-150 per person, all in. Molding, painting, glazing & firing the lot. My brother phoned Michelle up and she was full of excuses, it’s the paint, it’s the materials. The paint was cheap water paint, not any type of speciality paint for pottery, the kind of paint you would find at a crèche. Chatting a to a couple of locals, they were pretty appalled at what has happened. PE is a small town and well connected locals do talk. If you’re going to quote for something, don’t start adding on everytime, what’s the point of having one session just to throw some clay into a bowl, surely the point is to complete the whole exercise. The word spreads, and mud sticks.
