I have never engaged with a ruder service provider than the Alan that heads this operation. Initially I thought that the rudeness that came through in his email correspondence could be just a consequence of him being a bit illiterate. But then on the few occasions that I spoke to him on the phone, it was always abrupt and unpleasant. During lockdown, he kindly agreed not to charge for the toilet’s presence in our property – which was fair, given that nobody would be using it, but on retiring the toilet from our property he broke a pipe and left, having hooted impatiently to be left out, with the water gushing out. When I called to request an apology and, more importantly, payment for the damage, he shouted that it was not his problem and that it was I that owed him money for the time his toilet remained unused in my property. If this is how he treats his clients, I am horrified to imagine how he treats his staff. Although the service has not been bad, the unpleasantness of dealing with this man is not compensated by the quality of the service. Now, on top of feeling insulted by his shouts, I am left with plumbing work and a forthcoming bill.
