Poplar Academy is a wonderful, nurturing environment for learning, offering small classes with a personal touch from nursery school to Matric. The high school offers the Cambridge curriculum which provides an opportunity for international study and is fully accepted at local universities. The small classes are ideal for kids who are academically capable or excel, and also take into account individual differences which are often overlooked at ordinary schools. Poplar also offers numerous extramural activities to ensure a well-rounded education. I've been fortunate that all my kids were able to achieve and thrive at Poplar Academy.

With small classes and amazing teachers, our family found Poplar Academy to be a nurturing, understanding and progressive environment. Our eldest son comfortably made the transition from a remedial school. We loved that the Cambridge curriculum embraced an option for our boys to further their studies internationally.

Poplar Academy is the school with a soul where children feel they belong. My daughter tried to move my granddaughter to a school closer to home, but the child was so traumatized at being taken out of the loving environment, she had to be returned to her beloved Teacher Anna. She is now thriving and taking part in swimming, ballet, little kickers and gym. This is not a school, but a home from home with lots of love and security!

My child joined a couple of years ago, it's a thriving safe environment for young minds. The school has quality education, teachers with very small classes. You definitely will not regret choosing this school.

I am super proud to be associated with this 'simply different' approach to well-rounded, whole-person education. Founded in the spirit of providing for the gap between special needs/remedial teaching and mainstream, we also accept those who don't quite flourish in the bigger mainstream classroom. Class-sizes are small by design and our approach to learning is to 'first do no harm', to encourage and help learners embrace the best possible version of themselves. Check it out - we offer a free trial week to assess fit and suitability in terms of socio- and psycho-educational needs.

Ain’t it...Isolating a kid won’t help solve situations, make proper decisions. It just gives a bad name to the school.

Both my girls are Poplartarians. They are well rounded and absolutely love the school. They have gained confidence and commendable life skills through the international curriculum as well as the extra mural activities, especially the public speaking. Even though English is not our home language, they excel at English written and spoken activities.
