From Willem Snyman Fresh.NGO 9 June: 11 am - Hennops River Walk and Paddle, from the Kaalfontein source downstream to its confluence at Hartebeespoort Dam. This will contribute to plans for the Hennops River Reserve. The Source-to-Cradle Walk - A protest march against sewerage and plastic pollution to create awareness and inspire solutions to pollution of our rivers. Walking and paddling the 100 km of the Hennops River will also serve as a fact-finding mission to highlight hotspots and allow us to explore and map, sample the water and connect property owners to unite in an interconnected reserve. The proposed Hennops River Reserve covers the 100 km from the Kaalfontein Wetland Sanctuary spring to the Hennops confluence – the first steps to a clean, biodiverse, natural corridor.
