My little human has left the school, her last year being 2020 and even though we were challenged as the world with COVID and constantly learning new ways of doing things, I couldn’t have prayed for a better school to do this transition with. Jenna and the team ever so patience, accommodating, professional, proactive and always have the kids best interest at heart. The school is so dear to my family and I, I can’t wait to send my second child back to KidsTown. It’s been a pleasure and blessing not to have to worry about my child’s well-being and academic growth because I knew it was so well taken care of. We love you KidsTown and wishing you growth and abundance in the years to come.

Jenna and I have known each other for 10 years. I joined this school in 2015 making this my 7th year teaching at Kids Town. Jenna and I worked together in my first year at Kids Town running the Pre-School 1 Class. We are in sync, always brain storming together, getting advise from each other and sharing many laughs. Thereafter, I was entrusted the opportunity to become the Vice Principal and Head of the Pre-School Department. Kids Town is a home away from home and the staff have become my work family. When the children arrive to school, I comfort the parents by letting them know that their children are now my children and that they are in very caring and trusting hands. Kids Town is a fantastic school and I have been excitedly teaching in the Pre-School 1 Class. I feel so blessed and honoured to have had the opportunity to send my two little ones to Kids Town while we were living in Jo'burg (from mid-2019 to March 2020). The team was so passionate and wholly vested in supporting my kids' individual and unique learning journeys, with patience, deep and holistic understanding, and above and beyond care. The team has also taken the time to create a sense of community and belonging amongst the children, who share such a beautiful bond, and champion each others' success in and outside the classroom. For my daughter this was such a big part of her transitioning from a slightly awkward and shy little girl to a confident little human who is able to express herself with ease. The team also maintains various open lines of communication - from WhatsApp groups to informal chats at pick up and drop off time, which made me feel like I was walking side by side with my children in their discovery and conquering of new milestones in their development. As a parent I also felt like I had a safe space to share, discuss and seek advice on the ups and downs of parenting. In amidst this pandemic, the team has worked hard to extend the spirit of the school to the kids' homes, through daily work, activities and Zoom sessions, and have maintained the kids' connection to each other with videos and photos. I am in awe of the heart, the warmth, the genuineness and resilience of the Kids Town team, and wish them the best of luck in navigating the new normal :-).

I’m still amazed by the team at KT and just how my little human has developed into a well rounded individual, so intelligent, confident, caring and sociable. Kidstown is simply awesome. Both my children attended pre-school here and they loved it. Jenna and team understand the spaces kids needs to learn in and the environment is friendly and kind. The transition to big school for my kids was effortless and they were a step ahead.

I have been fortunate enough to work with Jenna as my mentor at kids Town as the Head Toddler Directress. My experience at Kids Town and with the children and staff are hard to put into words. If I had to try I would describe it in one word and that is family. At our school from the man who helps us maintain our beautiful gardens to the lady who cooks the amazing meals through to management, everyone feels like an equal and is treated as part of the family. The minute your children walk through the door they become our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews. We are a family. Jenna is the most passionate teacher I I have ever met and she is constantly trying to find ways to improve the school and the way that we as staff operate in our classes. She motivates us to be the best for each and every child. I do not call these ladies at Kids Town my colleagues. I call them my family. My sisters, my aunts my cousins. At kids Town we are family. They are our children and their parents are our family.
