Still beautiful place, bit unfortunate that the Diaz boat is closed, no entrance permitted, because of devil Covid.. as if the ship will get infected??

We had a great time. The children were in awe of the big ship and gorgeous marine life. Price is excellent. Thank you!

This museum provides some insight into the traveling of Diaz around the point of Africa. The museum has some really good replicas of the history during this time. Sadly the museum has fallen into the same trap of so many other museums around the world, with most the finances going into upkeep of a smaller and smaller area of the museum. There seems to be very little evidence of continous improvement. Also, other than one or two displays in the entrance exhibitions, so little is done around displaying the intergation of the cultures in South Africa. Very little reference is made regarding the tribes that were met along the Cape and who they were. For instance the fountain in the musuem complex provides a fantastic example of a very relevant cultural historical sight for sone of the local inhabitants, but is almost lost if not for a small reference to it.

An abundance of excellent information but the feeling you get is that the presentation and upkeep ended during the previous century. The visit on board the Caravel disappointingly stopped due to covid even though there were very few visitors. Sad to see our heritage not being nurtured.

Although the displays was great, the explanatory text and supportive materials was both overwhelming and unclear. This is a potential gem. Iwith ablittle extra detail and organization it could be a joy to visit. t is well prized.

Bit rough. Needs a little touch up here and there. But informative.
