I bought a cosmetic damaged car from a dealership. The dealership had to take the car to the panel beaters twice. I could not even cancel the deal. Motor ombudsman are useless! They gave the dealership a letter for 10 working working days to respond, then another 48 hours and then again another 2 days. with weeks in between. waited 6 months. They gave the dealership 3 chances to respond. they decided that they cant see a problem

I need urgent help regarding a business in Brackendowns which I feel is scamming people out of their hard earned monies. I have a vehicle which needed repairs on the ECU box and Rob from Rob’s ECU repairs told us that it is no problem and that they would be able to fix it. Well it is nearly 2 months later, we went to collect it and had to pay R3000. On return back home it still was faulty, again we returned it, again it came back, they end out a technician with a computer and said the box was still faulty and did not pick up the vehicle, eventually after many arguments he informed us to fetch the box as he couldn’t repair it. He would now keep a R1000 and pay back R2000. At the one time there was also two other customers complaining about the same issue. Then we checked the fb and noticed that plenty of complaints have been lodged. The son is Lance Lee and promised to pay the money. They have now blocked us, they do not answer their phones and I am desperate. I only work half day, my husband worked for and events company and the company was closed end of December. I also have my daughter , husband and son living with me, all have been laid off due to Covid. Without a vehicle my husband cannot seek employment. I am a 59 year old lady residing and wording in Albertsville and also an ex inhabitant of Alberton. I am relying on a wheelchair or crutches indoors. I am dropped off and picked up daily as I can no longer drive due to my physical disabilities. It is costing me a quarter of my salary to get to and from work and it is now becoming a loss of income issue with my husband. These people need to be exposed so that future people do not have to go thru this.

Absolutely useless organization they provide no help at all, opened a case with them regarding a car which was purchased with unknown faults i have only been in possession driven the car for less than 24h before the fault appeared, 3 months later with no luck from the dealership the car still has not been repaired i lodged a complaint with MIOSA hoping they would be able to assist, all that was done MIOSA forward my complaint to the dealership , the dealership email back stating their case, MIOSA closed the case without doing any investigation at all, all my proof was disregarded, I was not given the opportunity to respond, and the case closed what is the point of opening a case if no investigation is going to take place? Don't waste your time with MIOSA they are no use to us consumers they are here only to protect the dealerships. 3 months later my car has not been repaired I am without a car and simply the MIOSA find no issue with this.

would give a - star if i could. THEY ARE IN CAHOOTS WITH DEALERSHIPS. I HAD GIVEN ALL MY PROOF OF BEING SOLD A ACCIDENT DAMAGED VEHICLE BY HYUNDAI WELTEVREDEN PARK. HYUNDAI EVEN FORGED MY SIGNATURE ON DOCUMENTS AND MIOSA SAYS THEY SOLD THE VEHICLE IN GOOD PRACTISE. WHATS THE USE OF MIOSA WHEN YOU DONT STAND FOR THE PEOPLE JUST ANOTHER MONEY MAKING SHAM!

USELESS is not even the word! MIOSA had all my proof of the issues with VW The Glen that were under warranty, they ignored all my proof and closed the case stating VW The Glen was in line with good practices! They just closed my fie without giving me my 7 days to respond! VW The Glen lied about everything! Disgusting!

Pathetic is to generous to describe dealing with MIOSA - no dealings for 5 months - no idea of when it will be resolved - but if we go ahead and have our machinery repaired in the interim - they can't help! Completely inept - the staff should be embarrassed to actually work there -
