A wander through wetlands, forest and grasslands...
like
A committed team of hardworking conservationists has made great strides in removing alien vegetation to the extent that one can comfortably walk around on paths and over wooden bridges. Ground orchids are in the grassland as well as many other flowers, and tree orchids in the forest and many birds. There is no sign of vagrants in this beautiful suburban setting.
Clean. Nice place to go for a walk
The Msinsi Community Conservancy is supported by the Kloof Conservancy and it is an important part of the Kranzkloof Nature Conservancy. A river run through the grassland which has recently been cleared and cleaned up by a dedicated team from the Kloof Conservancy. As a result, the grassland is again teeming with life. The Conservancy is in the process of making trails through the park. However, there are still some marshy areas (although they are creating proper raised wooden platforms over these areas they are still in process). There is one bridge over the small river. This is an important breeding area for birds, so it is NOT an area in which dogs are welcome but the Kloof Memorial Park (loaded rather unhelpfully and annoyingly simply as "eThekwini Park") off Buckingham road is your dog-friendly park only a few kilometres away. Please also note this is NOT a dumping ground for your unwanted items.
