My husband (mid-40's) and I (mid-30's) decided to start guitar lessons with Mario at the beginning of January 2020. We didn't know our 'A chord' from our 'G string'. But with his expert guidance we are now learning to strum. The way he teaches is very dynamic by teaching you the chords to play songs. This naturally makes the course very interactive to put the chords you learn to practice with modern songs like Ed Sheeran's - Shape of You. At the start of lockdown we did some of Music With Mario online courses (which are brilliant), then he started doing weekly Skype sessions to analyse our progress. We have since come back to the studio and are greeted with sanitiser before we begin our 1-hour session. Mario is a very modern, efficient and patient teacher that works with you until you can play the song to the same beat as the record label. He always keeps you in the loop of studio updates regarding debit orders and even the latest partnership with Marshall Music where all students get a discount when they need to re-string their guitars or buy a new guitar. The guitars hanging on the wall can be bought as a result of this musical partnership. What we like is the personalisation of the classes, slowing it down until we learn the technique. Mario will even send a mini video which demos the strumming pattern on Whats App so you don't forget when you do your practice session at home. If you are looking at learning guitar online or face-to-face, we definitely suggest you get taught by Mario or one of the other classical guitar teachers at the studio!
I have no musical background whatsoever and have always wanted to play guitar and I thought it was just a dream, but Music with Mario made it possible. I am having so much fun, they have made it so easy to learn how to play and my teacher Sergio is fantastic. He makes it so much fun and interesting. Can't wait for my next lesson. Thanks guys! His enthusiasm for teaching the skill coupled with his progressive teaching style means you will quickly improve your guitar playing. He is quite adept at progressing those - like myself with no previous guitar experience at all - to playing full songs only after a few months. He carefully structures lessons short enough to get through the fundamentals whilst also making sure the content remains fun and relevant. My experience with Music with Mario has been exceptional. They are professional and relate to you as an individual which makes learning easier and quicker. I already had a good working knowledge of playing guitar prior to going for lessons. I joined Music with Mario to move to a new level. Music with Mario helped fill in the gaps for bad technique, understanding and applying music theory. The classes were customised, with the instructor adjusting the lesson plan to suit your development. This makes the lesson challenging and enjoyable at the same time. This has me playing as much as possible. I would highly recommend if you are interested in playing guitar, or want to improve your current skills.
