My first time in a planetarium. The first 20 or 30 min. i found interesting and informative. I left 10 minutes into the "short movie" that followed. No words for that

Naval Hill planetarium is one of the iconic building one has to visit in Bloemfontein, it's a pity they don't have shows everyday but I think it's due to the lack of customers, the only show you can watch is on Saturday at 7:00pm and what a show, it's a must watch. While there, look out for the range animal roam around the reserve. You can take a drive to the west side and see the Mandela's statue and breathtaking views of bloomfontien city. The reserve is very famous for running and cycling as there is no entry free.

It's a nice place. Almost 360views of Bloemfontein. It will surprise you that there are a natural reserve and even a Planetarium

We attended a "drive in" picnic style jazz concert, with the musicians performing on the stoep of the planetarium. The atmosphere was festive, music great, and the surroundings incredibly beautiful. My photo certainly won't do justice, but may just entice you to give the next concert a go.

Lots of wildlife. Giraffes, buffaloes, ostriches, springbuck etc.wide open spaces. Don't wander off alone. Stay in sight of people or go in a group. Its South Africa after all.
