The organisation is a timber co-operative with a number of subsidiary companies. The Head Office is based in Pietermaritzburg, but it has operations throughout KwaZulu-Natal. It has been in existence since 1949 and represents timber farmers in KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape and Swaziland. It is a major supplier of timber in the South African market and a global player in the sale of hardwood pulpwood to the South-East Asian markets.
