Will never buy any household appliances from you every again. had the worst experience ever. the best way for New World to solve a issue is to refund someones money, than really to try and assist and keep the customer..

Have not purchased anything from New World in many years, buy mostly from the larger retail/quasi wholesale stores. Hunting for a new vacuum machine, the last one gave up the ghost after only 8 months, quite a well known brand as well bar the fact that most things are made in the East these days, including the well known brands. Regardless, was looking for something made in a first world country which would hopefully give a bit more reliability i.e. a little more than 8 months at least with a price tag around R1k give or take. Well, found a machine I was interested in, but a quick Google search showed it cheaper by R200 elsewhere. Approached a member of the sales staff and asked if they could match it and save me a trip to go and purchase it at the competitor. Yes, I do know that many brands New World is prepared to match, but their wording and brand listing is limited, the Karcher vacuum cleaners were not on it. Pity. Rest of the store was well stocked, a lot of variety including some headphone jack extentsions which I was hunting for. Very intrigued by the shear volume of different clocks they had available. Would I rush to go back, no. Did not get the “we are here for you and appreciate your business”. Think I will stick with the bigger retailers with the better prices.

If you buy something here and it is faulty, there is only an exchange policy (no returns). It is not great but some stores do this. The problem comes in with the customer service will be less than helpful to sort this out and you will only be ignored. I have supported going here for year's since moving to Pretoria, but the customer service has declined for quite some time. It is an electronic sales that are not necessarily cheaper, I would recommend somewhere else, which there are many of in the mall or surrounding area.

No refunds - you pay 4200 for head phones and they won't give you your money back the day after. Headset was a gift, the person did not want the item so I took it back the day after. They refuse to refund the unused item and only do a gift card in their store which is limited. Customer experience : 0 Overpriced : 1

Big variety and nice to do window shopping. But extremely expensive compared to offers online. Bought an electronic product and (sadly) did not bother to check comparative prices on google first. Only to find out later that the most expensive model on the internet was still almost HALF PRICE compared to New World. Expensive lesson learnt. Will always do my homework online before buying anything from New World

Absolutely the most rude staff I have ever encountered! We we're told to put our mask over the nose wich is 100 percent acceptable because my mask was sitting loose and this is my mistake. But the way I was spoken to at the watch section and the security at the door is so rude that I felt I had to take up the matter with management and my word was that even worse they are a 0 on the scale of professionalism!
