Our wedding venue was the beautiful Fynbos Estate just outside Malmesbury. This rustic working farm held all the elements that I was looking for. Unique, beautiful views, delicious food and wine. All the hallmarks of a truly memorable occasion. I want to say a VERY BIG THANK YOU to DIanne and all the wonderful staff at Fynbos Estate for making our wedding day THE BEST day of our lives. All our guests have not stopped talking about the wonderful food and wine and the beauty of the farm. Our little cottage that we stayed in was perfect! I cannot wait to go back
Lovely little gym hidden in a valley
Best place to stay if you wanted to be in the nature with all the natural beauty and animals sounds. I would highly recommend this place to people to escape the town buzz and noise to come and relax there. I enjoyed it so much that I will come back in the future.
Stunning venue for conferences or weddings! Recently attended a wedding here and the location is perfect for intimate affairs. The guest house hosts a number of guests and comes with showers, kitchens, braai area as well as table tennis and pool tables.

In April we had our third Fynbos writing retreat for advanced PhD and Masters students who intend to submit their theses and dissertations this year. Every year, these workshops at Fynbos play an invaluable role in helping students to clear the final hurdles before they submit their work. We have long work sessions in the mornings and afternoons, a seminar in the early evening, followed by a meal cooked by one of the faculty or students and some great wine made on the farm. Fynbos estate is ideal for this kind of academic break-away. The accommodation is comfortable and personal, the farm house kitchen allows us to lunch and dine in style, the surroundings are beautiful and the hospitality of Diana, Johan and their staff makes us feel as though the farm is our home for the duration of our stay. The fact that the farm is so close to Stellenbosch means that if any of us need to return to the university for a meeting or engagement, we can do so and return in an afternoon or morning. Would highly recommend staying at Fynbos! Our family has enjoyed two wonderful vacations at the Estate and we already look forward to the next visit. Johan and Diana are exceptional hosts! Our favorite activites include hiking in the mountains, afternoon swims, and hanging out with the animals. Our young boys loved the dogs! Location is also great, just an hour from the airport but close to wine country with many day-trip opportunities. The accommodations are very comfortable and well equipped with friendly staff to assist. If you're looking for a tranquil getaway, this is it!
