Panzi Lodge had a good mix of the good, the bad, the ugly.. Let's start with the good: • Friendly & Extremely helpful staff • Beautiful views from the viewing points • Really gives you the outdoor experience • Love that the animals are free to explore, which gives you the experience to spot them even while just driving in and out • Dietary needs are taken into consideration The bad: • If you're accustomed to fine dining, you would not find it here. And since we love our food, this was not great for us • Also with the food, they dish up for you, with really large portions, which goes to waste • Big bad for us, no cellphone reception or wifi in bedrooms, despite them saying that there are boosters that would reach the rooms. I ended up working in the common reception area where there is signal The Ugly: • Bugs! Bugs! Bugs! They are everywhere. Now being in nature it is expected, but the lodge could have done more to prevent them from entering the rooms. Everything from scorpions to, spiders, to weired insects that I've never seen before can be found in the rooms • Lack of attention to detail and cleanliness • Shower basics not replenished daily • Although room is "serviced" daily, it seems like its only the beds that gets made up - but ants can be found under the pillows • Drinking water was osmosis water, leaving us to buy bottles of water to drink, since the taste was not plattable • The towels had a bad smell, which stuck to your body. Would I recommend this place: Maybe not. Just because for the price we paid, we expected a whole lot more. The owners that stayed over while we were there, were unfriendly and unwelcoming. We wouldn't go back.

Loved everything about staying there! We needed a break from our busy lives and that's exactly what we experienced. Staff very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

Panzi was such an incredible experience. It’s a wonderful place to explore, relax, and enjoy being out in the wilderness. My now-husband and I booked the entire lodge and held our international destination wedding there. It was absolutely perfect. All of our guests (including us) were blown away with the rooms, Nixon (the manager) and his staff, food, and all the activities they coordinated for us. Dale and Michelle (the owners) have made Panzi into a 5 star experience. They were so communicative and helpful in setting up our stay, helping us plan, and sorting through logistics of getting 15 people there. We were greeted at the entrance by the owners, the manager, and the entire staff and from then on everything was taken care of for us. I know myself and our guests are always going to remember our time there. From waking up and walking to the viewing deck to see giraffes to sitting around the fire at night sharing stories with each other and the folks from Panzi. Michelle & Dale, Nixon and staff, thank you so incredibly much for the perfect experience, you’ll be seeing us again! **All photos were taken ON the Panzi property.
The Panzi Lodge owner and the staff were excellent. From the moment we entered we were treated with lots of warmth and hospitality. Each and every staff member of Dale and Michelle were super good and friendly. All our needs were met. The rooms. Dining area.food was very clean My son’s wedding was organized in super nice way. A lifetime memory.Loved the decorations and the vibrancy of the place. Dale and Michelle were very nice to my other son who had to stay back. Thanks so much. Definitely will come back.
