My review is based on first hand information from my daughter who attended this academy and confirmed by other students. I withdrew my daughter from this academy for the following reasons: 1. I was led to believe this Centre was a Cambridge Approved facility. It is not. 2. Tutors are changed often and not registered Cambridge Educators. 3. Tutors having screaming matches with kids in-front of everyone about school fees. 4. After withdrawing my daughter, Gerrit Blom, accused my daughter of theft. He spread this narrative amongst students. I have written accounts of his behaviour from other students. 5. They attempted to use a communication medium well known to be infiltrated by pornographic images online. Despite warnings being available in mainstream media they continued to use this medium without warning to any parents or children. This institution is attempting to "sue me" for a service they could not provide. They are not a school. No tutors, no pay. I will make sure every single person intending to register with these people make an informed decision. Update: Gerrit Blom and Penhurst Academy. I have the copy of the original response to my review and already connected with the various parties who saw it. A bit foolish but thank you. I welcome the opportunity to show my review to be true, fair comment and public interest, just as you have the right to prove them false. If your child needs individual attention regarding education, this is the place. Having said that, Penhurst offers more than this. They offer individual care; mentally and emotionally. The growth as a person in my child was and is phenomenal. Truly an amazing place with extraordinary individuals.
My son has blossomed since he joined Penhurst Academy at the beginning of 2018. He didn't adapt well to mainstream high school and this format seems to work exceptionally well for him. It also gives me comfort that the curriculum is internationally recognised.
