Was recommended this off the beaten track winery/port house by a Calitzdorp local. So chuffed we took the drive out to see hands on small scale production of his white and red wines and ports. The wines were delicious and the ports were absolutely outstanding. Peter was inviting and passionate about his product and the area. The farm is a little slice of heaven. Highly recommended. Make sure to call ahead to make sure he is in.

OMG! What a find. This place is situated in a little piece of Karoo heaven. The micro climate mimics the Douro and so Peter produces some incredibly good wines and ports. Being (self proclaimed) wine and port aficionados, we were sceptical about SA port. Peter’s award winning ports have restored our faith. These are world class!! Such a friendly welcome too - from Peter and the dogs!! Definitely worth a visit off the beaten track.

Dropped by without any booking after a slightly rough but very scenic drive to be very warmly welcomed by Peter and his wife. Every single wine I tasted was amazing, even for someone who normally avoids Port. It was a shame I could bring back one bottle due to my country's custom laws, but I will be back!

Memorable and well worth the drive to experience beautifully crafted wines in an authentic farm house. Unusual Portuguese varieties in ideal climatic conditions provide interesting and delicious wines that are very reasonably priced. Peter is a charming and knowledgeable host. Highly recommended - especially if you only have time to visit one winery in this region. Use your GPS in Google maps ti check the route up a lovely river valley. The tourist maps are not to scale. Continue past the dam and gallery then keep going - you haven’t missed it!

Superb wines in a beautiful location. A small family run winery. Peter is a passionate winemaker. Very reasonably priced gold medal winning wines. Well worth visiting, only 15km from the centre of Calitzdorp.
