I visited on a recent trip to South Africa as a day visitor. I was absolutely amazed by the birds and took photos of over 30 species. The animals were great as well and seemed happy to let us take photos of them as we walked quite close to them. I recommend this as a must visit day trip out of holiday season.

It was once a beautiful place to camp and fish,yet regrettably on our last weekend it was really distasteful. We experienced loud music til after 2am,had illegal overnight visitors joining campers as well as young adults drinking and racing their cars amongst walkers and children on bicycles. I feel that there should be rangers walking and checking campers for payment receipts and to control the loud music and alcohol usage. This is very sad,as we love Albert falls. I really felt for the cleaning staff as the visitors dirtied the ablutions consistently and misused the toilets to the full. I hope that Msinsi will take note of my complaint,as I also verbally complained to the office on our exit. Looking forward to a better maintained campsite should we return to a lovely dam with beautiful wildlife. Mrs Melissa Botha campsight no 4 .Easter weekend.
We camped here for the weekend and absolutely loved it. The camping sites are well maintained and the ablutions very clean. All the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back. Loved the fishing
Always love visiting.. However in my recent visit, grass was very long.. It needs cutting
A great place been coming here for 40 years now.There are a couple things that need attention.VERY IMPORTANT the Water Hycenth starting to infiltrate the dam will destroy the eco system while it is manageable it must be removed. Myself and my grandson took out along the bank but it needs more done. Fishermen and families will stop coming look up Hartebeesport dam and see what happened there this weed is a dam killer.
Wonderful weekend, relaxing holiday. Very clean ablution area with the most friendly staff, wud recommend for a family getaway.
Very close to PMB and offers a lovely outdoor experience. Didnt see lots of game but it was still beautiful.
