I purchased a engagement ring in July 2020. The ladies were so helpful and great, I then accepted to open an account and pay it off to keep my credit score good. I was promised a certificate for the ring purchased but they didn't have stock of the certificate paper. I have had no correspondence after going there myself asking what the hold-up was and was promised again that they would contact me. It is the 16th October 2020 and still I have nothing from Sterns Midlands Mall. It is shocking after sales service I will pay up my account like I wanted to in the first place and demand my certification on the ring purchased ASAP!!!!

Most appalling experience I have ever had! Their customer service, willingness to assist, and keep to their policies is almost NIL. Upon buying a ring, I was told that refunds were possible within 7 days, and exchanges within 30 days. The ring was a gift and was not to the person's liking. When I went back (within 7 days) to return it, I was told they're doing a stocktake and cannot do returns (which should really not be the customer's problem). I agreed to go back to the store and told them I was in need of a refund. The morning of my visit, I even called to remind them that I am coming in for a CASH refund. When I went back to the store, I was told there was no cash in the till for a refund. They said they will get the cash and call me when they have it (which would now be the 3rd visit to the store!). They never called for a further 3 days, so I decided to go back and just get them to refund the money to my card account. When I went there, they said they are unable to do refunds to my type of account and I would have to wait a few more days for them to get the cash. It's been 2 weeks since I bought the ring and my refund has still not materialized! I have never been more disappointed and infuriated with customer service. They are simply unable to keep their promises, and they inconvenience their customers more than actually helping them with simple issues like returns! Definitely will NOT be going back to Sterns for any future purchases.
