Words cannot express the joy I had coming here. Derek is not only an amazing brewmaster, but a truly wonderful person. My wife and I were going to stop for just some time to try the beers, and ended up spending three hours talking to Derek, and just enjoying the time and place there. I cannot recommend this place enough. Whenever I go to the garden route, this will be a mandatory stop

What a great gem in Fisanthoek. We absolutely loved the Fisanthoek brewery. The beer was delicious, the people were so welcoming and warm, and the vibe was great. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

We had a blast!!!!! Derek showed us around his beautiful and peaceful place. He is such a creative mind. This place is definitely worth a visit. It’s like you’re entering to the garden of eden. It’s paradise on earth. Derek made this all by his hands - which is so amazing. And the beer he’s brewing down there in the woods - it is one of the best beers we’ve ever had (each of the three)! And this is a big compliment from Bavarians ;-))). Thanks for having us!!! We will come back next year to see the progress. Oh and by the way: Derek is an artist! Check out the art he is doing on his farm! Beautiful and amazing stuff.

We were there this past Sunday just after 1 and found it most inhospitable. It seemed like a private party and felt, since we were ignored at the entrance, that we were not welcome. Nothing to indicate that was the place. We left feeling we must have got it wrong but I see now, it definitely was the right place. Maybe one is supposed to call ahead. Just a warning, it's a bit confusing and off-putting.

What a gem. On our way through we decided to stop for a pint. One became 2, and two became more. It's great to be able to experience the hospitality and friendly garden route vibes of this stunning micro brewery. We will definitely be returning for another visit. Ecologically sensitive beer made using rainwater. Reusable beer bottles. Derek has thought of it all. Nothing beats the sound of popping open a cloud 7 brew with its groltch style cap.

Plett's FIRST and still ONLY brewery. Derek's beer is amazing and would be considered to be very good anywhere in the world. Try the APA. Sophia's food is in a class of its own when it comes to Plett. Different. Delicious. Delectable.
