Took a lovely boat ride down the Keurbooms River. Russel was so knowledgeable and passionate about the area. Also very interesting stories and a good sense of humour. Enjoyed how quiet and serene the ride was - so close to the hustle and bustle of Plett and yet another world. Had a 40 minute stop at a quiet beach for a little picnic. A really wonderful way to spend 2.5 hours. Thanks to both Russel and Mark and look forward to seeing you again!

We really enjoyed this boat trip. The guide was very informative and he really seemed to understand the history and natural environment. He introduced us to the sea otter, birds, trees, and geology of the reserve. He brought the whole area to life in a way that really captured the imagination. We took food and 'cossies' for the picnic stop and really enjoyed swimming and walking about on the mini trail close to the picnic spot. I was very impressed by the flushing toilet in the middle of nowhere. This trip was the highlight of our holiday and well worth every cent we paid for it. I would recommend it as a 'must' if you are in the area.

The Administration is really bad. We booked a trip, went to the place. Due to weather conditions the ferry is not leaving. That's fine, but we haven't got any information about that and we were driving 65 km for nothing. They told us the day before to give is a callback. Nothing. The next day again. Lovely weather but the wind is to strong. We were told twice getting a call but again no call. By the way, I had the confirmation email which remembered me to be the on time. The keurboom area is pretty nice. I would recommend the trip, but better to call them before leaving.

Something different. Sublime vegetation and birdlife. Ferry operator a little jaded...... he does this often. But mellows out after a while if the company is chilled.
