The Fusion Portfolio Group started as a small single hospitality business, Cycad Guest House, solely as an investment opportunity. Due to operations challenges, the owner's wife became involved and so the slow birth and development of several successful hospitality properties. The second hospitality property, Fusion Boutique Hotel, was completed during September 2009 and Palala Boutique Game Lodge and Spa opened its doors in May 2014. Up until the end of 2015, these properties were marketed as independent units and a decision was made to combine all under a single brand, Fusion Portfolio, as of 1 January 2016. This singular brand and identity decision was made as it conveys the following impressions: - It supports that fact that the properties within the Group, namely Cycad Guest House, Fusion Boutique Hotel and Palala Boutique Game Lodge and Spa are established and stable, this builds trust and loyalty to the brand - This stability is what attracts guests to the properties as it symbolizes a certain level of experienced and professional service and they know what can be expected of the facilities at each of the properties.
