What an awesome place to spend a day out with ur loved one or family... Accommodation is available as well, with boat cruises along the vaal River would be a perfect setting to end a day... This is a must visit...

This is a quiet, laid back place at which you can spend many hours sitting and relaxing. My 5 year old kept herself entertained for the entire afternoon running through the water features. The views are awesome and the food is excellent. I've tried food form the bakery and next time i visit I will try out the grills.

A very good venue for relaxation with a lot of open space for picnics. You aren't allowed to bring your own food but at least their food is good and not very pricey. We had a pizza which was delicious as well as the bakery snacks. The stuff were very friendly.

Great atmosphere, good facilities, lots of shaded areas for picnic with picnic tables, as well as deli with really nice options, wine Bar and cocktail bar and ice-cream parlour! Service is good and people are happy

Very good outdoor experience with family. Beautiful lawned picnic areas with shade structures and fountains for the kids to play in. Good pizzas.

A beautiful venue on the banks of the vaal river. We had a thoroughly relaxing time at the picnic area. The pizza's were delicious from the deli / pizzeria. The little village has a nice ice cream parlour and coffee shop, the other shops were closed unfortunately.

Beautiful family venue to spend a day. Just note that you can't take your own food for a picnic. You can take chairs, gazebos and picnic blankets etc.

Best picnic place ever!! I love the environment and everything about the place. The only thing maybe just for advice to Pont de val would be if the have a place where kids can play beside the beautiful water kids love ro play in, it would be great. Otherwise its a beautiful place to enjoy picnic with your loved ones
