Our experience is that it is a great caravan park. The ablution block is old but kept clean. Wonderful view of the boats going up and down the Kowie river in front of us.
I live in the park and love it
Best place to be on Holidays
Clean and near town lovely
A very nice and quiet place to camp and spend the weekend away from city life.
great location ablutions need upgrade quite desperately the ones close to the entrance are appalling with filthy showers and smell gross. The toilets don't flush properly and there was little evidence of daytime cleaning. The ones at the riverside are better and tiled at least. Avoid during peak periods as it is often over filled and some of the crowd are quite dodgy. Noise is not well controlled. No swimming pool or TV room or any entertainment not even a Lapa so youngster amuse themselves by drinking playing loud music and stealing when they are not fighting. Site cost me r191 per night which is cheap (a lot cheaper than Medolino and green fountain) both in Port Alfred as well. Green fountain is lovely with private ablutions but for a family of 4 will work out similar in cost to a small chalet (which is ridiculously high considering you're taking your own accommodation and bedding) and green fountain is 7km out of town, not so nice if you just need bread. Port Alfred is crowded and noisy and dirty on new years day and traffic is shocking. Give it a miss...
Nice, quiet caravan park. Has everything you need. Neat and clean
