I bought a Scirocco 2.0 DSG from McCarthy Silverton GM. The car was delivererd to me on October 2016. I took the car out on the long road to buffel****rt from Rustenburg where i reside but on my way the vehicle began making a loud noise. I came home and checked that it might be oil thst is short, and to my surprise the oil was low. I contacted the dealer and we decided they would refund me on oil and i should have it put in my another dealer who is qualified. So i did. The noise still remained 2 weeks after so i called the dealership back which was already a month and a half later which was in December. The manager decided i take the car back for a checkup so i wrote a letter explaining the problem for when the car was picked up along with my invoice for the oil that was promised to be refunded but was not. The dealership kept the car for 3 weeks and told me that there was no problem, so i decided to get the car back as i have been borowing somone elses car for 3 weeks. The car came back and on arrival i could already hear the noise and told the driver to listen carefully and report back. I took the car to my own mechanic to check the fault and there the fault was found to be the timing components. I called the manager of the dealership and explained to him and he got angry and told me my mechanic knows nothing. So after two of his employees, me and a mechinic heard and witnessed the noise which is extremely worrying and bad, the manager told me im crazy and im making up things because something cannot be fixed if its not broken. Other problems related to this car are as follows- no oil on delivery, bad brocken wiper blades, brown dirty water in the radiator, no service done since 2015, broken and loose interior plasics, ciggerette lighters all not working.
i would love to write a review, but the total lack of involvement and feedback from the sales staff renders this process mute. Still waiting for feeback after contacting the sales staff over a period of 3 days.
