There is a vast difference between what is shown on Born Furniture's website and what the company produces. I ordered a customised couch from them in November 2020. I was not pleased with the quality of the couch which they made for me. I cancelled my order in December 2020 and requested that my deposit be refunded. Jacob J Strauss Bornman - the business owner - accepted my order cancellation and committed to reselling the couch and paying me back during the first quarter of 2021. He said the couch would be changed to the standard design - i.e., the design on their website - and that it would sell in no time as it is a popular design. As of 31 March -- the end of the first quarter of 2021, Jacob J Strauss Bornman is saying that the couch is yet to be changed to the standard design, it is yet to be sold, and that he is not God, he cannot see into the future, and therefore cannot predict when the couch will be sold or when he will pay me back. Jacob J Strauss Bornman is clearly trying to pull a fast one on me! As a result of the poor workmanship and Jacob J Strauss Bornman's unscrupulousness, I would not recommend Born Furniture. Please read the reviews on Hellopeter as well if you are considering placing an order with them.

8 months and 32000.00 out of pocket promises over and over , apologies, and ongoing new dates set, but all not honored , when asking for deposit back, became rude .......fully trusted owner , but i should have checked hello peter as many more people complained of his born furniture, everything was looking promising, loved the product, but nope after 8 months empty promises , not will not recommend, to anybody on the response from owner, nope no shortfall 32,000 got 2 chairs 14 still short after 8 promises, and i am not grateful with furniture borrowed , no i am not if you didn't kept me on a line and fooled me, for more then 9 months , i didn't needed furniture till date you haven't started , worse u dont have the leather and offerd me 4 days ago a cream leather instead of the ordered brown leather.... you frankly apologized after 7 months waiting 2e week jan its coming we now in feb ,, and now you become rude and in denial, for who ever wants all correspodence between born and myself is availble.

Bought the Svensonn Modern couch from Born Furnishers (at a hefty price tag) and this is the couch that got delivered 5 weeks later!!!! Absolutely appalled at the audacity. Our email to them confirming the order instructed in writing (AND was confirmed by them) instructed that in writing that it should look EXACTLY as per the picture , and instead they delivered a modified product, with additional seams, tears/ loose fabric, piping that makes you motion-sick to look at, arms thicker in places than others, feet of the cheapest quality pine and stain (not the metal feet on the photo) - just the poorest craftsmanship I have ever encountered. but the worst has been the company's reaction - we have been shunted from pillar to post, told that it needs to be dealt with by the CEO (presumably the owner, Jacob Bornman), who to-date has not bothered to contact us - almost a week later - and who has been rude, uncooperative, and preoccupied with his reputation and not customer service when we have phoned him. subsequently, Born Furniture has had the gall (no surprise) to, in turns, blame the delivery company and me for the modified and poorly-made product that they eventually delivered. beyond shocking. order at your peril. Compare their website picture, below, and the pic of the couch we got and make up your own mind.
