This totally SOUTH AFRICA restaurant is purely DELIGHTFUL!!! The place was packed; EVERYONE there FOUND exactly what s/he wanted. The food is actually COOKED by the owner or restaurant; one can see him in the wall cut-out and he knows how. EACH APPETIZER WAS DELICIOUS, STARTING WITH DEEP-FRIED-BROCCOLI COVERED WITH A CHEESE SAUCE; A SOFT-CRUST-ALMOST-PIZZA-LIKE-MULTI-MELTED-CHEESE-ON-TOP-SLICED-LIKE-PIE-AND-YUMMY, ALSO A SPECIALITY- SLICED-BREAD- WITH-A-DICED-OLIVES-AND-LITE-OLIVE-OIL-MIXED-TO-SPREAD-ON-THE-FRESHLY-BAKED-BREAD ...THEY ALSO SERVED A MUTTON-LIVER, WRAPPED-IN-SHEEP-FAT-TO-COOK-AND-SERVED-WITH-MASHED-POTATOES. ALTHOUGH, I DIDN'T HAVE THIS, THE THREE-OTHERS-AT-THE-TABLE-ATE-EVERY-BITE-AND-WANTED-MORE, SO OBVIOUSLY IT WAS JUST RIGHT. I THOUGHT WE WOULD BE FULL AFTER ALL OF THAT... BUT THE FOOD WAS BARELY STARTED FROM THE RESTAURANTS PROTOCOL. WE HAD MENUS TO DETERMINE OUR MAIN COURSE. EVERYONE ORDERED SOMETHING DIFFERENT. I ORDERED WHITE-CHICKEN-BREAST-WITH-A BREADED-CRUST, AND TOPPED WITH ALFREDO SAUCE WITH SMALL PIECES OF HAM AND ADDED CHEESE. IT WAS TRULY DIVINE. ONE POINT OF INFORMATION, THEY SERVE LARGE PORTIONS AND DO NOT MIND HOW MANY DOGGIE BAGS YOU FILL-UP AND DEPART WITH ... MY CHALLENGE TO ANYONE WHO COMES IN TO ENJOY THEIR FOOD - PLEASE Don't EAT ANYTHING BEFORE YOU GO IN ... YOU IDEALLY WILL BE HUNGRY WHEN YOU GO IN !!! THIS IS MY TIP TO ALL, BECAUSE EVERY NEW COURSE IS EVEN BETTER - IF THAT IS EVEN POSSIBLE - THAN THE LAST!!! EVERY MORSEL IS A !!! I LOVED EVERYTHING- EVEN THE PICTURES ON THE WALLS and THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT !!! GO THERE... ENJOY EVERYONE and EVERYTHING !!!

This quaint little restaurant never fails to deliver a lovely experience. The interior is cosy and friendly and can get quite crowded when the place is full. The staff members are friendly and fast and the owner keeps a friendly eye on proceedings. The menu is extensive - we usually go for a selection of tapas and it is always just amazing. It is recommended that you book ahead - the place is popular!

We were looking for a quick bite to eat and ended up discovering this gem. Food and atmosphere was amazing. You don’t find these owner run places anymore. Can’t wait to take our friends and family back there!

Nice and cosy venue with personal service. A few South African favourites on the menu. It always feels as if you are visiting old friends. Keep it up Claude & Louise.

Lovely little restaurant, great menu, mix between Portuguese & Afrikaan's with lots in between. Service was excellent, definately worth a visit.

This is such a lovely local, family run restaurant in the heart of Faerie Glen. Their menu would please any red-blooded South African and reasonably priced. Their portions are more than generous with my always ravenous 16 year old barely being able to finish his meal. My only criticism is that I find their wine selection quite overpriced

First time visit with friends from Botswana. Good vibe. Food met expectation. You will see us again.
